Is Adsense Broken?

Something seems to have gone very wrong with Adsense from where we are. Yesterday was our worst day ever, normal number of impressions but virtually NO clicks. Today seems to be very similiar.

Normally we are hitting around 15%-20% as a click-through rate, yesterday 1.5% and today under 4%. The ads all seem to be related, its just as if everyone has stopped clicking them.

I must say that there seems to have been a bit of a bug in the system the past couple of days and I don't suppose the MSIE issue has helped a lot either.

I doubt there's anything we can do but wait until the whizz kids, or maybe the hamsters, sort it all out.

Yup, same here. Yesterday worst day ever, same patterns appearing today. CTR, eCPM yesterday 20% down from Sept average, today down about 13%.

PSA-s occasionally showing here and there.

Usually you will find me "chiming in" with the majority.
But on this thread, no.

Monday was my best day ever, in 6 years.
Tuesday exceeded that.
Wednesday exceeded that.
Today, Thursday, will NOT be a third consecutive record. But it is not too shabby.

As they say, YMMV. Boy, ain't THAT the truth!
Historically, I far more frequently chime in with the "woe-is-me" crowd. Not today.

I'm on pace for a record month. We'll beat the previous record by a wide margin.

Yes, I think you got my usual Adsense settings. Last few days were okay, but not horrible. Everything however has been down hill since spring. Like Coca-Cola, I wish we could go back to Classic Adsense.

Ah, that's looking better, the hamsters have obviously taken positive action:-)

The last three days were happy-making. Today is turning that smile upside down.

Do you ever feel like AdSense publishers are all on see-saws with each other, only we can't see the people bouncing on the other end?

LOL...my see-saw's been remarkably level this month, my metrics went a bit screwy when several people started seeing MSIE Ad display issues. Hopefully this has now been resolved.

No problems here on income terms but YES, I think something is going wrong with Adsense. Take a look at the thread of "errors on IE", also, yesterday I saw a lot of nonsense ads about the moon and sun temperature on very well positioned sites. I checked mine and mine were ok, but I had the same problem last week. So I guess for some visitors sometimes they see nonsense ads and that might be related to the near zero income days. In short I can only say, it looks buggy.

After a very poor 3-4 weeks, these last few days have been very encouraging - especially today.

Broken ad layouts and single ads on almost every 336x280 and 468x60 ad unit I have yesterday, earnings were down 50%, I'd say something was wrong.

I use FF/Opera and virus scan(s) show nothing wrong with the computer itself.

Google issues rarely stay broken for long and are far enough apart that I can't really complain much.

Never seen this before - one site with no clicks, but several hundred impressions, and revenue showing equivalent to some clicks giving the sort of average epc for the site as if I had received clicks. Can anybody suggest an explanation?

Stephen.

Fingers crossed however my metrics returned to normal by the end of Thursday, let's see what Friday brings because, at the moment, I'm hardly getting any figures on the board at all.

And I was thinking it was Webmaster World that was broken.

After all, it's the 24th of the month, on a Friday no less, and no one has started a PIP thread yet.
