Hello, my website's CTR was about 2.5%-3.5% for 3-4 months. But, 1.78% september 5 1.63% september 6 1.06% september 7 1.34% september 8 1.23% september 9 0.46% september 10
Is there anybody experiencing the same problem? I did not change anything on my website. Why is CTR decreasing?
Thanks

i run Australian specific business directories and target google.com.au.
Mine's .us but only 17.2% of visitors in the last week were from the US. The rest are Europe 45.5%, Unknown 16.2%, Asia 15.1%, Africa 4%, Oceana/Australasia just 2%
Many months ago I was expecting my earnings to increase towards the end of August. They did.
There are lots of things that can alter earnings, but to blame Google on it, is a bit much IMO.

and on that note.... i must agree with Lame_wolf.
4 days is not a pattern.
4 weeks is.

This short note tells me the site was the source of this problem, not Adsense... Ops, I made the mistake, nevermind... Google is back to normal.

No. Opposite.
And October will be better than September.

Last two days haven't been too great around here. Pretty low CTR after an awesome week.

CTR is up. Had a bumpy road this month for a couple days but September is going down as the best month ever so far. Especially today by 8 am I have made more than the best 2 earning days combined since 2004. Last month was the best month ever since then. Hamsters are on something today that's for sure! Let me know if we have a pattern here.

I'm trying to unsubscribe from this thread via Owner/Edit. I unchecked Email notification of new replies.
So far unsuccessful. Does anyone know how to stop the notifications?
While I have a general interest in this subject, I honestly don't need daily updates.

Unfortunately, I think that's a bug. Once the flag is set, it's not possible to stop it.
BTW - I noticed a decline in my CTR starting on Tuesday. Wednesday it was horrible. I started to think to myself that maybe there was something to this thread.
Fortunately, I looked deeper into the problem (beyond Adsense) and noticed my site was not letting visitors see more than 1 page per visit. I fixed the problem Thursday morning.
My fault, CTR right back to normal.

How did that happen in the first place?

The mysql database was corrupted during a dirty reboot of the system. This took out a table that tracks sessions. It was easy to repair, but this problem prevented a visitor from seeing more than one page.
This was my host's fault, but I'm not too down on them. They boot the server about twice a year...

My earnings have been way up. I've been a publisher since 2004. For several years, earnings were consistently in a comfy level for me (a creator of some hobby sites that took off). Then suddenly earnings dropped to about a two-thirds to even half what they were before, and stayed that way for about 2-1/2 years or something? I admit I didn't work really hard to rectify that. Then I did some changes (two ads instead of one on each page, placing the ad higher on the page) about 6 months ago. A little improvement, but not a lot.
Now suddenly in August, things improved and now in September, earnings are up to what they were before the drop (in fact I think CTR is higher). I don't know what is causing it, but I hope it lasts for a while! I have done a little tweaking of the sites (am adding Adsense for Search) but don't want to mess with it too much. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it.)
