Adsense for Search

Today, I added a Adsense-for-Search box at the bottom of my forum. Since it is at the bottom and most will not see it, I wanted to post an announcement saying they could search the forum and my main site using the search.

I know calling attention to Adsense ads is a violation of TOS, but would this be okay?

thanks.

Good question, but I would not post attention to it, just to be on the safe side. They will see the search bar anyways.

In my opinion and interpretation, the search box itself is not an ad unit, hence calling attention to it is only natural since it is a primary feature/functionality of your site.

The ads on the search results page are what you cannot reference or call attention to.

Disclaimer: This is MY opinion and interpretation. Use at your discretion... =)

You can call attention to the search box. You can't call attention to the ads that show up as a result of using the search box. I've ALWAYS called attention to the search box, and Google has obviously reviewed my sites because they've sent me custom suggestions.
