Today is the highest earning AdSense day I've had in many, many months. Overall, August has been returning above average earnings for me, but today it's close to making September 2008 numbers. Hope it stays this way. Thanks Google!

I highly enjoy reading success stories, one's where individuals or companies are experiencing higher earnings from AdSense. At the same time, a lot of what I read in this thread was vague or somewhat cryptic. If you made some changes to a site that resulted in higher earnings, I am almost positive that a lot of people/companies might highly appreciate any details/input. Probably Google, as well, since they frequent this site.

August is almost gone and it has been an awesome ride. No doubt the best month ever. I haven't done anything this month to my site other than pinging. I really don't want to mess with it. Adsense earnings are great and I'm getting a lot of the longtail traffic. If it ain't broken, I won't fix it.
Maybe Play_Bach should start a new September "Things are looking up" thread to start fresh? :) What do you think?

Traffic ok, but eCPM it's low, very low in august... 31 was a bad day...

August 2010 said good bye on a high note. 31st was easily the best day of the month. Whole month was better than July. Can't wait for September, eCPM will significantly go up from Sep to March in my niche.

A very interesting August and definitely exceeding my expectations:
1. My best month of 2010
2. My best month since October 2008
3. Versus August 2009 earnings almost +37%
I wonder if I can keep this up until the end of the year?

The same a good month for me:
- My best month since Nov 2008. - 30% increase w.r.t August 2009.
Is this change in tendency only to specifics niches or to all AdSense? Mine is, more or less, Travel oriented.

I'm in probably the most hard hit sector of all...specialised construction products!
It's been a torrid global downturn. Apart from the companies that have gone bust I know of many companies with a turnover that's been down by 75%, and I am writing about USD 100+ mil. companies, however this last few months has seen a much more positive outlook with new enquiries and orders being generated.
Of course we're nowhere near being out of the wood yet but it's infinitely better than Summer 2009...keep your fingers tightly crossed comes to mind right now!

September started full speed and taking no prisoners. Hope this last at least through Xmas.

Started full speed, then screeched to a halt 4 hours before midnight Google time.

I am experiencing the same. Adsense-wise, it's been a very crappy day.

Well the business day here in Ireland is over and the stats have barely moved since this morning. This is perhaps the worst reporting lag I've seen for a few months.

So last month (August) was my best Adsense month ever!
I've only used adsense since late 2008, though, so I never got to experience the early wonder years.

You are lucky Play_Bach. The stats don't seem to have moved here at all (apart from the impressions).

Thanks jmcc. I feel very fortunate in AdSense Land lately as I know all too well what it's like to not be. For the vast majority of the last six years my numbers have been struggling just to keep up with the day before. I've had many dismal days and dismal months and had all but given up on AdSense doing much more than at best staying where it was. Whatever is going on these days is beyond my wildest dreams. Just goes to show how little I know. Hope it lasts! :-)

Bad earning day today. Actually horrible day. CTR is pretty low with same traffic. 3:29 Pm - Pacific. Hope this doesn't have anything to do with Labor Day weekend coming up. You know, advertisers pausing their campaigns...

I am seeing the exact opposite, and it's a USA site.
