A sign of Hope - May 2010 seems to be an excellent month

Normally I tend to write in this board only when I have problems with my adsense account. And I usually get really good advice.
Today I want to write because, after an awful month of April, May seems to be an excellent month: if things go on like this, it's going to be the best month ever for me.

The positive effect could be caused by a lot of reasons but there are two things that seem quite important to me.
The first thing is that at the end of april I moved my website from a cheap hosting to my dedicated server: the difference in between the two servers is like night and day.

The second reason might be only a coincidence but I have a feeling it's not.For the last two years I've been religiously adding a new page of useful content every day, but from the 15th of april I was busy and didn't update the website. Could this 'lack of updating' have helped, somehow?

Apart from that, yes CTR is tanking, but at the same time the value of every click is increasing.
Google Adwords is all about giving value to clicks, so I can understand why Google wants to see less valid clicks that pay more.

My adsense revenue is up approx. 120% this month with no real change in traffic.

Yep I am hitting some big numbers as well, have been since beginning of last month though. Traffic is way up, but can tell something has changed in what people are spending or what Google is releasing.

My adsense revenue is up approx. 120% this month with no real change in traffic.

This is the exact reason for me to believe that google is changing the adsense revenue share or some relevancy of ads on many sites or many other factors (beyond our control) which are affecting the earnings.
On case to case basis there might be few webmasters who had done changes recently and worked out well for them.
But most of the lot who posted here have not mentioned about any big changes. Or is it not the case?

I dont want to hijack this thread but can we have a poll of how many people made significant changes to their site in past days, month or so which resulted in increase of their adsense income and how many people not changed anything, no change in traffic and still adsense income increased?
My vote goes for no changes in site, traffic still income increased.

Thanks
Rajiv

Made no significant changes here, traffic around the same but income up 20% on the month so far (same number of clicks, just seem to be returning higher revenues)

A little lower again last 48 hours though...

Yesterday earnings were up above the average. Overall, the month of May has been well under with only four days at or above average. Hoping yesterday marks a turnaround, but so far, today isn't looking so hot.

The month of May so far projects to be a new record high for me.

For me it's definitively going to be the best month ever, but as I've written, last month (around the 21st) I upgraded the server. So there has been a change on my side.

Another thing I noticed: in my niche in the serps there are way less spammy sites. I think Google is banning them more and more, refining the algo, and maybe even using human control.
With less scrapers sites there's more to earn for honest webmasters.

I have low earnings on high traffic this month. Not just Adsense, but my other network as well.
