New Ads by Google text

very low CTR today

I'm having the lowest CTR today in recent memory. I checked my sites and see that there's a new Ads by Google text link instead of the usual arrows. Anybody else having a lousy day? Is there a connection to the new layout?

Yesterday was really bad for me. Today, it has been rather good, esp that it is a saturday.

Lousy day yesterday (Saturday). It was like Ireland was in the Bermuda Triangle. Saturdays are low but this was perhaps the lowest for years. Saw some piles of really off topic ads and ads that appeared to be hammering away regardless of which website was involved. Blocked all 96 turd party advertisers and switched off 'interest based' targeting.

Targeting is odd too. I'm seeing ads for cars and other products which have nothing to do with my site. Also, the Ads by Google text link has reverted back to the standard layout. Maybe the plex is experimenting with a bunch of things and my CTR is just getting caught in the crossfire.

Seriously... this weeks been really bad...
If it keeps going like this I'll have to bin my long held plans for a holiday home in Malibu (ala two and a half men) and get a real job like a schmo!

I was doing much better after months of bad. And then this week, HORRIBLE. Yesterday was worse than I've had since almost starting my websites!

Absolutely dire earnings yesterday and so far today. Targeting seems screwed up. Ad quality seems screwed up. I kept seeing a 'home improvement' type advert hammering away despite interest based advertising being turned off and the advert being completely off topic for the website I was updating.

On days like this I wish I could turn off adsense and let my visitors have a better experience.

All this month with Adsense for search, the CPC has been extremely low. Today, it is at it's lowest ever at 1.01 Pence Per Click.

Not sure if it is just lagged or the people Adsense HQ have run out of coffee today. Perhaps they haven't woken up yet to "estimate" the earnings. Stats down. Earnings down.

Worst month (especially this week) in a last 5 years.

It's not great, but at last the 3rd month in a raw, where I am better than the month, 1 year ago.

So every month 2010 is better than the same month 2009

I had a poor day Friday and Saturday, yesterday (28th) was quite good. Overall this month has been exceptional and I'm on route to a record earner.
