Dear Adsense pros,

We use an external counter that now added a new service - it counts exit clicks too. That's actually very useful. But it also counts clicks on adsense ads. So I have two questions:

- Is this allowed by the Adsense TOS? Can this be considered as sharing confidential information with a 3rd party?

- We noticed a big difference between clicks reported by adsense and by the counter, there is 2x more clicks accordind to the counter. Is this normal?

By adding that code you're giving yourself a pointless headache, it won't change the payout in any way.

What it will do is give you different numbers because you're not filtering the same bot list google is, because your "day" may be offset from Googles by a few hours, because your very code may be causing new bots to be nosey with adsense... etc.

When in doubt keep it clean and remove anything questionable.

I don't understand. We are using statcounter since few years and it always worked fine. Page impressions between it and google analytics are almost the same.
