Clicks way down

Page Impressions look normal however actual clicks, therefore CTR, are down by ~50%

EPC is well down too but about average for what I would normally see in the early part of the day however that's some 6 hours ago.

Anyone else?

Same here in the NJ, USA. Only actual clicks seem to be delayed (I hope they are just delayed LOL)

As usual with this type of missing data my clicks never caught up. These four Wednesdays of January have thrown up a strange pattern, and who said AdSense was unpredictable?

Wednesday 27th was my lowest earning day since Wednesday 20th which was my second lowest earning day since Wednesday 13th which was my my second lowest day since Wednesday 6th.

CTRs on all these Wednesday were 20-30% below the month's daily average and apart from January 1st - 3rd each of those Wednesdays have had the next lowest click volume days of the month.

Until 2010 my Wednesdays were a completely normal week day, now I shall have to re-name it fubarday or Googlesyphonoffday!

Missing data never catches up. Very true. In my opinion there are only 2 possibilites.
1) Google overall data system is in the gutter and some new PHDs are playing with their new ideas of Database and loosing maximum data.
2) Google is checking each click manually and due to the load on the system of keeping up to date that they tend to loose the data every 2-3 days.
Otherwise how can you justify the abnormal rise and fall in CTR / CPM and earnings? 2 days up and 2 days down.
I manage two accounts and sometimes one account is up when another is totally down for no reason whatsoever. Sometimes both the accounts are normal. So I think everything has to do with Google's procedures or whatever they are doing to show the stats.

Google overall data system is in the gutter and some new PHDs are playing with their new ideas of Database and loosing [sic] maximum data.

Why would their boss[es] allow them to work on such data if they are new (and not proved themselves)... Sorry, I can't see that as a reason.

Google is checking each click manually and due to the load on the system of keeping up to date that they tend to loose the data every 2-3 days.

LOL. That's funny. You really think that Google can employ an army of workers that will check out every click manually ? Have you any idea how long that would take if they did that just for one large city... let alone a country, or the rest of the world.

This is just one of the possibility. Ofcourse nobody knows what goes behind the scene.

LOL. That's funny.

Ok I agree my mistake not each click but I think many clicks which are being flagged. Otherwise why you think that there is always so much delay in stats update.
If it is fully automated process then why it takes so much time?
i dont think google has any limitation from hardware or software capability.

I'm absolutely positive that clicks aren't recorded to my account in real time. They're not recorded in real time on my various AdWords accounts, so why would they show up in AdSense?

I'm sure Google has all kinds of computer power looking for unusual patterns. And if a pattern looks unusual enough, it may require further scrutiny. And if it's still out of whack, maybe even a human has to take a look at it.

But we'll never know, so it's pretty much a moot point.

Slow crawl again today. January earnings will be well under. Here's to February.

El Crappo here so far as well, at about half of where it normally would be on an average day..

Slow crawl again today.

Yep, struggling to get going, just why is it that one can have several days of no-effort cruising and then the EPC and CTR drops 30% overnight?

Do all my advertisers collude whilst I'm asleep? ;-)

I actually pretty much thought this month sucked, but I went back and looked and earnings are running about 20% more than last January (although CTR is down, and I have 45% more traffic). So it sucks less than I thought, and somewhat less than last year.

Our ctr has dropped way beyond the average deviation the last couple days on our largest property.

Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Yep, two normal healthy weeks and then on Wednesday somebody turned the dial again to the abysmal CTR sector.

My traffic appears to be completely normal and my EPC in its normal range but click volume is way down.

I'm back to where I was on Jan 6th - 13th...it's broken again.
