Earnings quirk?

Estimated earnings figures don't match

I'm seeing something today I don't think I've ever seen before.

When I log in to AdSense and am taken to the default page showing today's activity, there is, as always, a line at the top that reads, "Today's Estimated Earnings: $X.XX"

When I go down to the next section where earnings are broken down by channel, the total estimated earnings figure shown is more than the $X.XX figure shown at the top of the page.

And No, before anyone asks, it's not an issue of double reporting with Custom and URL channels. As a matter of fact, the total beside just one of my URL channels exceeds the $X.XX figure at the top of the page.

Anyone ever seen this?

Default page hasn't been updated. Happens often throughout the day.

I also see the same thing every so often. It might be earning being reported from different data centers.

That's a common circumstance. The detailed report seems to update faster, so the totals will usually be higher there. In a few minutes, the totals will match.

As of now, both numbers have increased but now the top number is higher than the bottom number, a reverse of what I saw when I started this thread.

I seeing the same things. Think its best to wait until the Google day has rolled over and things have settled for that day.

How much of a difference? I don't think that actual payments are in complete cents so there may be rounding errors.

How much of a difference?

Dollars.

Too much to be a rounding error.

The same here. On "Reports" -> "Overview" one amount.
When I run a report "view all AdSense for Content channels »" - sometimes (not always) I get a different figure.
Roughly I get a difference from pennies to dollars, depends on a total amount.
