hey guys

my sister is having some trouble with a page and adsense.

it has 3 columns, the right hand column has skyscraper adsense in it, the center, wider column had a normal banner in it but was causing vertical scroll. So she removed it and put a rectangle in there and the ads seemed to want to stay in a banner format and get cut off!

happened to anyone, i've checked the page source and i'm not seeing an old cache or anything?

Try re-doing the script in the control panel and re-inserting it into the page, just incase a small error was made. And do check the original was definitely removed from the page.

Hi Jenstar :)

I tried that but no change, I just switched to IE and it's fine in there, so it seems firefox is getting caught up somewhere?

Clearing the cache in firefox doesn't change it.

Maybe the table it's in is still a banner width table?

hehe, nope, could fit a buick in there, it's floating by itself at the bottom of the center column which has wider content in it, and it shows up fine in IE, just not firefox? :)

/edit

it looks like it is trying to show the 486 banner but is being cut of by the rectangle boundaries, not the table boundaries :)

I've had the same thing happen in firefox. It was trying to show a leaderboard add in a space the size of a banner. It ended up being cut off, in much the same manner as you describe. I got so fed up with it I ended up moving the ad. It worked fine in its new place. I don't know what would happen if I were to try to move it back.

Always have problems with firefox and my site's banners/Adsense. Got used to it after a while.

hey i'm not alone then, was starting to get worried lol

anyway, i'm on a different machine with firefox again and it's fine? i only cleared the cache from firefix on the other pc, but i may have to clear everyting to see if that does it.
