Anyone filled out the Adsense survey?

Do I trust telling them how I feel.

Today I noticed a "take our survey" type button after logging in to Adsense to check my stats. I rather imagine that the link has been there for some time and I've just never noticed it. (Like those notices you become blind to that say check your messages about "optimization." I mean really, everybody already knows that Adsense's on approach to optimization is spamming up a site with more ads. I don't need a report every month telling me so. Why don't they save the world some bandwidth and disk space and just not make these reports any more.)

Anyway, I clicked the survey link and started to fill out their form truthfully. Then I started thinking. I'm logged in AND taking their survey, how stupid am I? There are only two choices with this survey, fill it out kissing their behind, or not filling it out at all. Of all the people in the universe I don't trust with information that could be used against me it's Adsense.

Anyway, I closed out the browser window before finishing the survey. I need this check. I don't need to give Adsense any reasons to kick me out of the program.

I did. And the link is still there. Some of the questions are really stupid. Such as: How long have you been with adSense? I mean, #*$!. You know exactly when I opened my account (back in 2003) and you are asking me this stupid question?

Dont waste your time, you know how many times we have seen similar "Give us your feedback" over here and (almost) nothing changed anyway.

I would hope that Google wants honest feedback from people, but the fact that some would be hesitant to offer it indicates to me there's a bigger problem that Google must address. That is one of fear of retaliation.

Google has many fingers stretched out across the internet, and is so big it's hard to avoid touching one of those points. But since they operate in such secrecy, close accounts with no chance for appeal and no real reason given for their actions, people have grown to fear them somewhat.

Seems like that's a serious image/public relations disaster for Google.

I've used Google since 2000, but I'm now forcing myself to go elsewhere and apparently others are as well. I wouldn't think Google would want to ignore this issue for long.

good point AndyA. I filled the Survey a few weeks ago, on the survey, last page you get to comment on adsense in general. I filled that page telling google about their way of dealing with people when a mistake is made. I said it is not fair to close once account without giving a Warning firsthad.

I don't know if they will count on that comment but if many of the "survey fillers" mention this on the survey than GAdsense might consider giving a warning before closing anyone's adsense acount.

I have never hesitated telling Google exactly what I think, whether it's praise or condemnation or complete and utter frustration. From what they tell me (and from my own experience with them) they appreciate honesty and *constructive* criticism. I also don't have unrealistic expectations as to the speed of change in a system that deals with millions of people.

We are brought up in culture of secrecy with Adsense and now they want us to be open to them. I don't know if not answering the survey will have an effect on our earnings or accounts but I'm sure if they did not like our feedback, something might happen. I was thinking very hard how will I answer the questions so it took a while until the red survey link disappeared.
