Kaspersky blocking AdSense

Kaspersky has started blocking AdSense despite changing any settings

I've been using Kaspersky for a couple of years now, Internet Security 2009 for about 12 months.

I haven't changed any settings, but all of a sudden this afternoon it has started blocking AdSense from all sites.
Even worse than that, it is flagging any site displaying AdSense as a potential phising site.

Is anyone else running Kaspersky having similar problems, and is this likeky to be a setting in Kaspersky changed or a setting at AdSense?

Yes same is happening with me too, I just sent Kaspersky support a message, they replied within minutes with the following:

Same problem on my sites - it would be appropriate if Kaspersky paid compensation for showing everyone's website as trying to steal passwords. This will have cost webmasters thousands of £ / $ and cost Google millions. It will also make a lot of people very nervious to visit any website that carries Adsense.

Someone has just posted on the AdSense forum that if you update your Kaspersky database it solves the problem.

Have just done it and all is fine.

Just hope everyone else who has the problem gets the update as soon as possible.

Usually they update in less than an hour.

I updated and its solved now.

For me, ctr dropped dramatically - it has started a few hours ago and might be related to this issue.

Same here, i noticed CTR dropped and didn't think of this issue!

Maybe in other versions of Kasper its still blocking ads!

Can any one confirm CTR Drop too?

I looked a bit deeper into this and basically my English sites are affected - my German sites have not been affected by this.

For English sites ctr and ecpm seem 50% down.

Strange, I have six systems using Zone Alarm Suite with Kaspersky and didn't see anything untowards and we were running them all day Sunday plus, amazingly, yesterday was the highest CTR of the month and my 4th highest earnings' day of November!

Trend Micro used to do this from time to time as well, although they never admitted it. Usually it was cleared up within an hour or two, but it was one of the (many) reasons I stopped using Trend Micro.
