I also noticed (in the link provided by Rodney) that I started last years November (Thanksgiving Day) PIP :)
I believe that those who get checks always get PIP before those of us with EFT.
Actually Adsense has said that this is not the case (its on one of their older blog posts) so we still don't know the process or order they use to process the payments
When I actually see "payment Issued" - I'll then actually see MIB in Sydney, Australia.
Yes, I like these threads, a kind of mutual "comfort zone. The last AdSense survey I completed, many months back, focussed on payment performance which I could only respond, was absolutely superb.
A couple of minor hiccups over the many years which were promptly rectified.
Amazon, stubbornly refuse to learn about International EFT. My lone affiliate programme which refuses to understand that modern banking is indeed much cheaper than using outdated dinosaur cheques.
More power to AdSense for well and truly upholding their end if the bargain.

I don't know, I did speculate that a couple of months ago since I generally see an earlier PIP than most however I also wonder if the older the account, mine is one of the original AdSense sign-ups, the earlier one is processed?
Therefore the question to ask is are those who see a much later PIP more recent AdSense sign-ups? If not then I have no idea :-)
It certainly can't be alphabetical since I'm right in the middle!

I'm thinking that this would be the most likely answer myself.
I joined Adsense November 2006 and usually when those first few posts come in from people in the US getting their PIP's mine is not far behind - maybe a few hours later.
However there have been times when those in foreign countries like India have received theirs first but that happens like in shorter months or in December -where rumor has it - that Adsense wants to "clear their books" for the year.
Adsense is very "mum" about the order that they process their payments so we still really don't know how they do it.
P.S. Thank you Webmasterworld for the PIP thread! It's very helpful to me because if other webmasters PIP status is late, mine will be late as well.
