Different ads Explorer vs Firefox

The ads displayed on my site vary with the browser being used. With Firefox I see the same repetitive ad over and over, whereas with Explorer I see a greater variety of ads.

Anyone else experience something similar?

I've been seeing exactly the same for a long time now. When I check my sites to ensure that they aren't displaying any irrelevant ads I always check in both browsers now.

This is a concern since Explorer isn't nearly as dominant as it once was.

I thought I was imagining it, but yes, my impression also is the ads are different depending on the browser. Chrome as well. I haven't studied it long enough to come to any conclusions though, other than they are different.

I haven't mentioned it in this forum though because I can't think of any good reason why it should be the case. Have Google profiled each browser and then applied ads they think are more suited to the viewers of a particular browser? If this is truly the case, it just makes it even more difficult for us publishers to fathom out the when, where and what ads are appearing on our sites.

Weight loss ads on Firefox, bad breath ads on IE and pregnancy testing kits on Chrome! Has the world gone mad? I just want "buy widgets" ads on the lot of them.

I actually find that the best ads seem to appear on Firefox, but if I'm having an awful CTR day and can't figure out why then switching to IE will often reveal some atrocious flash or image ads that don't appear to be well targeted.
