my eCPM yesterday was terrible. Today it's even worse.

I just don't get it. The ads are still the same in all the main traffic companies and suddenly it just went crazy. Argh.

My CTR came up quite a bit today, and the eCPM is much better than it has been. Maybe there is a problem that they're slowly correcting.

Today is laughable it's so bad for me... click thru rate is way down so holding out for that click dump!

It's just been normal for me since the week started.

I'd really like to know the reasons for these ongoing reporting discrepancies. You think you're having a good day and then clicks slow down, CPM crashes while impressions increase. Or vice versa. Some of us do monitor Adsense closely as a way of rating the performance of new articles we post - this change in the reporting makes effective monitoring pretty much impossible.

azlinda, I certainly hope that's all it is. My CTR and ECPM are down quite a bit from normal for me. Impressions are a little higher than they used to be, so one would hope that meant making MORE money, not less.....

WolfLover, I hope that's it too. I'm not nearly up to where I used to be for years, but it has improved quite a bit today. Slowly but surely...

May 7th is looking to go down as another sub-average AdSense earner here (SF Bay Area).

Sub-average is one polite way of describing it.

Last couple fo days have indeed been extremely poor. Today is very, very poor CTR-wise.

Today my ecpm is 7x less than "normal" #*$! Google.

This will mean I'll lose thousands a month. Absolute joke. Something is SERIOUSLY wrong.

My CTR is about 50% down and therefore my ECPM is down also about 50%.

I certainly hope the stats are stuck today!

The pattern of the last two days repeating today: normal CTR for the first couple of hours of the G day, then at around 8 AM G Time CTR starts going down and doesn't recover.

There is definitely a problem on Google's end. If they are working on it, they should let us know. If they aren't, they should let us know.

This week I've seen a massive increase in earnings, CTR and all the other stats. I think they've been fiddling again.

I'd be amazed if my run of good fortune continues to the weekend, so equally all the guys posting in this thread ought to see improvements soon.

Smart reporting strikes again - but I'm surprised to be able to report an upside to smart reporting on this occasion.

azlinda, did your stats improve as you reported yesterday? Still on an upward trend?

Yes, I'm on an upward trend. CTR is low compared to what it normally is. Impressions are good, but eCPM has increased fairly well.

This is the WORST day I have ever had on AdSense!

I truly hope stats are stuck. Anyone else in the same boat today? May so far has been bad enough as it is, but today just sickens me.

Ditto...

What on earth...! Just logged-in and earnings are half of Xmas Day, impressions are going up however clicks are at 25% of a normal day.

They've well and truly broken it now.

Definitely going down. Steadily (but quickly) dropping the last month, with the last couple of days revenue is down 40% from last year even though traffic is up 30-40%.

Depressing.

Went and watched the new Star Trek film and then dinner - been about three hours now - stats have barely moved. Stuck in the Doldrums here.

I warned about this in early fall of 2008. My stats went way down and remained that way until Christmas, which was fairly good, then the stats continued their downward spiral, leveled out for a couple months, then hit rock bottom several days ago. They're still not back where they should be. I've known there is a problem for months. What happened was completely unexpected behavior based on past performance. And this is how I know something is wrong. If I replace Google ad's with a competitor's ads (which look the same) and are fairly well related to website content, the eCPM is five times higher, although the CTR is a little less.

Having a decent day today after a miserable Thursday. What a roller coaster.

We all knew this was going to happen, eventually. It's time to move some stuff off of Adsense and give emerging companies a chance to serve ads--or sell ad space yourself.

I have started doing that and am already seeing an increase in profits.

Continue creating good content, use Adsense as your primary revenue source, but don't consider them your only option.

Adsense has been downright abysmal the last week. Earnings are at !60% of what they usually are for a full week now. Disgusting. I am seriously considering pulling adsense.

Traffic is all-right.
