[adsense.blogspot.com...]

this isnt the video-ads thing, this is embedding youtube videos and taking a percentage of ad revenues from the youtube videos.

program will end at end of april.

About time. Too hard to make any money from it that we had to remove it from our site.

Thanks for pointing this out, elsewhen. If anyone has questions, I'm here to answer them.

Sure glad I didn't buy into that one. Removing the referral ads has been bad enough.

Why an I not surprised?
The only program within Adsense that I have found to be profitable is the good old text adblock.

They write there something about YouTube

I find YouTube limits to much communication.

When somebody has questions about one of my videos,
I would like to show him background information with photos from my web site.

But YouTube makes it impossible to post an answer with a link, this makes it unuseable.

I had no use for the video units which was essentially just a random video player. Perhaps if I could have controlled what it displayed I'd have worked with it.

Good call ASA.

AdLink was the last really money making invention in the system.

I wish they would stop with the gimmicks like youtube videos etc. and instead concentrate on making a decent algo, so we have related adverts.

We gave them a try. Zero earnings over a few days. Figured it was broke. Nope, just doesn't pay out much.

Most important would be education for small business owners.

When many small bussiness owners would know more about the power of AdWords, they would shift their advertising budget away from local newspapers to AdWords.

Imagine world wide 50 million small business owners would move 500 EUR per year advertiding budget to AdSense ... 25 billion

I know many publishers would agree with you. But alas, they did not work well for me.

Ditto. Perhaps they could also work on some effective publisher tools.

Unfortunately there seems to be two more newcomers (some sort of rich media ads or almost kind pop-up ads expanding over everything) for each bad experiment removed :-/

NO!

I was seeing some relative success with this as it engaged my visitors more allowing them to remain on the page. Also
ASA.. the epc with video ads were much higher than with regular ads.

Is there any way to allow those who have video ads up and running the ability to keep them. They add to the aesthetics of my websites.

Please ASA look into allowing the few publishers that want it to keep it. First the referrals went now this...

Arrrrgh

Agreed, newborn. They were working very well for me too, as were the referrals ... back to the drawing board.

yeah, that option where you chose which youtube partners to post on your site was completely off anchor. the more targeted your approach on any ad posts the better.

Could never get videos to match our content, so it never worked. Glad to see it go.

A shame to see this disappear.

Perhaps Adsense Video Units will be revived when the economy sorts itself out?
