Has your AdSense income dropped or risen in last 6 months?

Just curious about how others are going? Does the economic crisis have something to do with?

Dropping of course. Seems to be "holding steady" most recently if that counts. I can still pay the bills so I can't complain too much :-) If the economy continues like it is now I suspect my earnings will drop some more... only time will tell.

For me it's more a case of traffic increasing but revenues staying at the same level.. so it's dropping in a way (CTR has taken a nosedive), but my head is still above water ;)

Leaving aside the past few days of turbulence, my 2009 earnings so far have been better than November and December. I'm not back to pre mid-October levels, still 25% down from that, but at least my EPC average seems to be staying firm.

I have several sites, one of them an "ugly duck" not touched or updated in 2 years approx.

In the past : X traffic = 5 apples
Present day: 3X traffic = 4 apples

I worked very hard to increase the traffic thinking I would have 3X traffic = 15 apples, or at least 12 apples. On the other hand, my ugly site alone is making twice the income of the other sites even that it has X/3 traffic.

You could say I'm earning almost the same as I used to, but the fact is I have more traffic for the same, so it means I'm actually earning less.

Sunk as low as it could get in December, has been increasing since then though.. although not by a huge amount. CTR and eCPM not anywhere near as good as last year. I can still pay the bills though and selling body parts isn't something I have ruled out ;-)

Earnings are definitely 40-50% of what they were 12 months ago. Steady traffic. I guess my extra 50% had to go to apease the GOOG shareholders - I am scared to consider how much worse it will get...

Although my eCPM is down about 15%, traffic is up much more than that.

Mind you I do not work full time on my websites.

It seems Sunday develops to a new highest ever in page impressions,
but earnings only about 55% of my highest ever earnings day.

I can not increase page impressions as fast as eCPM sinks.

I can not increase page impressions as fast as eCPM sinks.

Have you ever wondered why that is? you say traffic is way up however eCPM is way down - have you considered the traffic you are getting now is less valuable?

Have you done research into this?

Considerably up from 12 months ago, which in turn had been considerably down from 12 months before that--the decline due to dropping CTR, the increase due to improving EPC.

The economy does not seem to have had a significant impact on my site's area, which surprises me, actually.

My site traffic is up 20% YOY and my adsense revenue is down about 50% YOY. At this point, it's not paying the bills and I am looking for other alternatives.

explorador, it also seems to be my case. But now 3x = apple and a half. (Since Feb 14th).

Since your name is in Spanish, I guess your sites are in Spanish. I have found that Spanish sites go down every year... Losing war.

The search for alternatives is a hard point, my last incursion on that wasn't any good.

I'll second that. Tried a couple of the other big outfits that do contextual ads (UK based, so obviously not Yahoo or Live). They were absolute garbage. The ads were off by a mile and I figured my visitors would prefer the blank space rather than the meanless ads. Google doesn't always get it right (hmm.. last Friday anyone?) - but mostly they do.

My traffic is up about 20%. My CTR is down about the same. So I'm kind of holding my own.

I don't think that it will get worse than this. It could have been a disaster.
