lol koan..

Thats a dramatic drop. Are you sure the content displayed on your pages is the same as before? Changed content will result in changed ads.

Have you always used the same size ads throughout. The dimensions do make a big difference.

Impressions gone from ~5,000,000 to 7,000,000 since the same time last year. Revenue has dropped to about 55% of the same time period.

Businesses are saving their liquid cash for a rainy day.

Check your advance reports. See if placement ads have been dropping in revenue. You may have been having an ad campaign responsible for the previous revenue numbers. (which has now stopped)

My AD revenue has dropped 50% in the last week. It was like a light switch went off :(
Impressions stayed them same, about 300K as day

Earnings have been on a steady decline for a number of people.

Short of tweaking your ads, there's little to nothing that you can really do about it. Just be glad that you weren't one of the guys that quit their job to rely completely on Adsense for income.

HussainGardezi,

It seems like your traffic is not of high quality.

It seems like your traffic is not of high quality.

...or... are you sure the site is the kind of site you will visit once and again. Do you surf the web to find and read/enjoy sites like yours?

The figures for yesterday marks a new low point. :(
I can see the statistics of a few BIG sites and all suffer.

It's a Google move, not an advertiser move.

This is the same thing faced by so many publishers, all earnings have gone down. But I remember reading elsewhere on webmasterworld that Adsense is not your social security/pension check so don't rely on it. treat it like it is a bonus for that month.

Have you considered smart pricing? i.e. the traffic you are selling converts barely and thus is priced lower?

By the way, giving out so many raw stats is not a good idea (against adsense TOS).

My earnings are coming down, December was great. 2008 was slightly better than 2007 for me, but Jan is looking bad. I'm checking the traffic and is ok, in fact more impressions, but less clicks. I'm seeing very very ugly ads (and WAY of context). Not related to my content.

Sir i get mostly traffic from adwords and its 95 % too the point Traffic.

Well there you go- Google has said over and over that they are cracking down on arbitrage sites. Consider yourself lucky that you've lasted this long and haven't been shut down yet.

You have to remember that when users are clicking on an ad and coming to your site, they are looking for useful information, not just more ads to click.
