Friday Sept 26th, 2008 - Stats Stuck?

I'm not at all sure about this since my main web server blew up a few hours ago however "normality" has been restored but my AdSense metrics are diabolical for those hours it has been up and running.

Considering the issues my server logs look pretty reasonable.

Am I just having a freaky Friday or are the stats well-behind?

Oh heck! Normally I have about 40-50% of my earnings by now however I'm on about 10%...not a good day for beer tokens!

Normal here for my UK based sites. If your server blew up, possibly Adsense were picking this up and have temporarily put your sites down a bit earnings wise?

This is most strange, why would both my CTR & EPC be down 25%+ even though everything's back up?

My logs are showing the sites as being very busy however Google's page Impressions would suggest that nothing much is happening.

Someone give it a kick please!

I'm having an incredible day - earnings are way up for this time of day. On track to be one of the highest ever. Thanks Google!

Is there any reason to think if stats are lagging for one person they have to be slow for everyone? There have been plenty of times that I *know* the stats are slow for me because I have real-time log analysis on some sites, and I can see what the actual traffic is, meanwhile everyone else says they're fine and up to date.

Considering the scale on which they're operating, it wouldn't surprise me if the only time that *everyone* lags is right after a maintenance Saturday.

My stats have been stuck for the past week so... But it doesn't look like the wall street debacle is affecting everyone.

stuck after 3 good days. the "tell everyone you're having a great day at webmasterworld and your stats will suck after that" jinx strikes again.

Friday was my lowest day of 2008, by far. Considering I have no reasons to think my sites would be more subject to the current economical conditions than any other who are not complaining... I have to face the fact that I'm either smart priced to hell, there's a screw up from google's side (some recent maintenance snafu maybe) or some advertisers are targeting my sites with low EPC ads (I'm turning off placement targetting on channels). Or something.

Either way, it's leaving a sour taste in my mouth and Google is losing a lot of my confidence (some would say for the better).

For me:
It's not stucks, it's just sucks.

(Hmmm... Quite a nice slogan, don't they?)

I must have had a major blockage somewhere(!) since I got up this morning to precisely what I would have expected allowing for my outtage...very big click dump.

It seems strange that I saw a delay and no one else, ah well, there's a first time for everything:-)
