Yep its a pretty bad start for Aug, I hope its just a normal adsense glitch, I have to say these glitches are become very frequent these days.

Comparing with my logs now I reckon I'm about up-to-date however I must say that traffic seems much lower than normal across all sites.

I'm assigning this to the first major European getaway i.e. many companies closing this Friday and next Friday for 3-4 weeks.

It'll be interesting to see how much effect this has to overall metrics at the end of the day.

I've just checked my stats for the last 4 years for the comparable Friday and each one of them showed a significant reduction in PI/clicks/earnings.

Same here.. noticing -50% average CTR.

Each one shows 20-25% across the board reductions whereas a Friday is usually -10% of my Monday to Thursday average.

Overall traffic is still slow for me today therefore maybe it's happening again?

Earlier today I thought it was low cpm (first day of month in summer, ad campaigns ended yesterday, US economy on the verge of recession, etc.) but as I checked the mid-afternoon numbers I am also noticing lower impressions to some extent.

I guess we will find out by tomorrow morning if it was a glitch or that advertisers have taken the summer off.
