Hmm, not sure if I want political ad's on my site.

Might make some people that don't understand Adsense think our site was specifically, purposely, supporting McCain which could turn some people off. Same and vice versa if it was an Obama ad.

The ad is an image/video ad showing a younger McCain walking that says:

One Man Has The Experience...

One Man Has The Courage...

One Man Has Our Trust...

---------------------------

John McCain For President.

Join Our Team.

Paid For By John McCain 2008.

But on the other hand, maybe it would be nice to say I earned some of the money that presidential candidates spent on there campaign! lol

And those presidential ad's might be worth more than the 3 cent click ad's I'm gettin' right now.

Thoughts?

It much depends if you are selling something on your site or if it's just information.

When selling, you might end up with no 3 cent click and no $10 sale ;o)

I've got some McCain ads on certain pages, too. Not surprising considering the pages are related to gasoline. The ads show a series of gas pump prices:

----------------

Arm
Leg
First Born

Vote McCain.

----------------

Keep making those donations folks! The money goes straight to my wallet.

I've never heard of Obama or McCain before and don't know how to use the internet to find their sites, so these ads are very important to me.

Haha.

This is unbelieveable.

NO ONE IS RESPONDING TO THE TOPIC.

INSTEAD THEY ARE FIGHTING ABOUT MCCAIN VS. OBAMA.

I DIDN'T START THIS TOPIC WITH THE INTENTIONS OF A POLITICAL DEBATE.

WE AREN'T IN "FOO", OK.

AdSense's contextual ad targeting is usually pretty good, so I think maybe it's better to filter ads moderately, only when necessary... Unless you are getting for example a lot of unsuitable placement-targeted ads, of course.

You know, there is info on the Competitive Ad Filter at:

AdSense Help Center: Filtering Ads [google.com]

Anon123,
Why not just give a try. You can always block it. Sorry I didn't wanted to hijack your posting, but it just sounded so funny the ad you posted. I am sure the GOP pays more then 3cent as long your site converts.
