A LOT of public service ads showing up.

I have a high quality travel site. All original content.

anyway - I have experimented with the google tags and they really do not seem to help. A great deal of the time the home page is showing public service and the interior pages show blank. I o not have more than 3 per page. I am however using the new search feature format on all pages - but assume that does not count.

You are not supposed to post the URL. Can have it in your profile, of course.

Uhm, I guarantee you your URL will be snipped...so you should just remove it.

I think u need to give google time to scan your site for adsense fully. How long have you had the ads up for now?

Well, since the URL was there I went and looked.

Could not find a single PSA or blank at all. Is it possible you are looking at the site only locally--on your own computer? You do get PSA and other space-fillers in that situation. Or perhaps from behind some kind of firewall? Because I see ads, relevant ads, all over the place.

One caution: Are you sure that you are within the TOS to use < a topical header > above the ads? I seem to remember reading somewhere that there are only certain things you can put above ads, such as "Sponsored Links." Better look into that.

very nice site i must say. Yet from the google adsense point of view i would suggest certain things. Try to reduce the number of ad units on the page. Currently there are atleast 3 units try to reduce it to 2 or better 1. Test test and test and determine which is the best place to put the adsense. The biggest thing i noticed is your title in each page is almost similar. I feel thats why google adsense bot is getting confused about exact content of each page. Try to make substantially different titles for each page. Best of luck.

Thank you - I am emailing Google to ask them about the headers on the ads. The site is several years old and Adsense has always worked well. The only recent changes are that over the last 2 weeks I have been transitioning the site from a home made CMS to Wordpress platform.

Same response I ALWAYS get from Google these days - their "non-committment" respose for everything.

"While we're happy to clarify questions about our policies, we encourage you to review the policies and use your best judgment to determine your site's compliance. If you suspect that an implementation may violate the spirit of one of our policies, we'd recommend you err on the side of caution and modify the implementation."

Yes, the only allowed words above an ad unit are "Sponsored Links" or "Advertisements" according to the TOS. Of course using no words at all over the ad units would also be allowed AFAIK.

Everyone should be sure to set up some alternate ads of your own to be served instead of Public Service Ads when Google can't / won't serve regular ads.

Even if all you do is display some links to feature other sections within your site, that's better than PSA's in my opinion.

This was first reported by fearlessrick and confirmed by me back on June 3rd when we saw PSAs and blanks appear [webmasterworld.com].

I' m inclined to think that this is some kind of a glitch at Google, not an ad inventory problem, since it seems to be intermittent. FWIW I have again seen ads on the OP's site--I have yet to access it and NOT see ads. I haven't seen any PSAs or blanks on my site recently either.

I am having same issue with one of my website where I am displaying a 480X60 ad on header and also posted a thread about it. Adsense shows mostly public service ads on home page even though there is a lot of content and keywords so there is no way Google is unable to find any ad for home page.

But I think it only happens when I look at the website and not with other users coming from different countries.

Have you set up alternative ads? If not, how can you know?

Just a guess because a couple of times I viewed my website using proxy and the ads were there.
But again it could be a coincidence.

A LOT of public service ads showing up.

Do you have an alternative ads relationship that you can substitute in for the PS ads?
