Site maintenance, Saturday, June 21st

There will be site maintenance tomorrow this Saturday, June 21st, from 10 am - 3 pm PDT . That's a start time of 1pm (Saturday) in New York, 6pm (Saturday) in London, 10.30pm (Saturday) in New Delhi, and 3am (Sunday) in Sydney.

As you know, you will not be able to access your account during this maintenance, but your ad serving and reporting will not be affected.

Don't laugh. Maybe they are taking filter slots away. Makes perfect sense, you know. More publishers = more filters = increased server load. Actually, the ONLY way to overcome this problem might be trimming the competitive filter. As Google has very few spammers anyway, we probably won't need that much space.

Oh not again, finally the adsense revenue started making sense, had a major dip when it went south for a lot of publisher a couple of months ago and just stated to see some good figures.

Just keeping my fingers crossed that this update doesn't make it go away!

Same scenario every time there is maintenance. Revenues down by half and stats don't line up. If they do this every Saturday, that is a huge chunk being kept from Publishers -- but I suppose it is good for Google's bottom line!

It would seem that way, either that or Google is losing valid data.

For me Saturday's earnings were 28.57% down on the year's Saturday average and considering the worst Saturday before that was "only" 13.91% down it certainly would seem that their constant tweaking is having an adverse effect for some publishers.

AdSense issues, horrendous search issues...are AdWords users having issues?

Saturday, June 21, 2008 was a really bad day for me. About 20-25% down from expected. Sunday started very slow but has caught up after a few hours.
