I had previously turned on and off some of my channels targeting twice and noticed turning on decreased PPC. I decided I would never turn them on again. Then my account manger asked to trying channel targeting once more, I was reluctant to do so but finally followed his advice. This time I PPC further dropped to record low.

How is your experience with that?

How long did you keep the targeting off/on - was it hours, days, weeks?

Channel targeting maybe tricky for some publishers but based on the recommendation of Google account manager we have seen our earnings "explode." We now have 100s of advertisers fighting to get on our websites. I think a lot depends on the websites that you own and how eager advertisers are to target that niche.

I totally agree.
