It tells me if I add Referral ads to my site I can increase my income.
About the same time as I read that message, I received an email from a new friend in Nigeria. He has $10 million he needs to park somewhere for a couple of weeks and if I let him use my bank account, I'll get to keep 30% of the money.
I don't know what to do. I don't want to be greedy and do both, but I'm having a hard time deciding between the two.

That's strange, I think he's fiddling you since he wrote to me that he had $30 million. I'm not so sure about this since I also got an e-mail from the Ukraine offering me $250 million courtesy of a very wealthy Russian oilman.
Should we join forces and find out who's telling the truth?
Whoopee!
Say goodbye to Adsense and hello Paris!
I certainly haven't seen much of anything from referral ads. They barely get clicked and when they do, they don't convert.
au contraire! oh they do... when someone clicks on my referral ads, USD $300 million is channeled from the United Bank of Nigeria into Google's account and I receive my commision of 20 cents!
LOL! and you guys thought you were earning BIG bucks! Ha!
I do not use GAS referrals but google gave me the same suggestion quite a few times already.

I seem to be having problems in bed, thankfully a few companies have a solution for that
hmmm I wonder if there's an option somewhere in our GAS control panel to switch on "via*ra effects". Maybe that would add to our earnings size or at least help sustain longer stability.
( i feel a slap on the wrist coming from a mod )
Now they're emailing offering a free piece of Sahara desert. They say it's really low maintenance.
wow! you mean I can own my own piece of desert just like that?
No need to waste time selecting which parts of the desert match my content and find later my desert has got large holes in it?
No need to click and wait for payment in progress?
They just send me my very own piece of desert via email?
whoopeedooo! where do I sign up?
Well, all I can say is I've tried more than one ad unit on a page, and it actually generates LESS revenue!
Not trying to be cynical but all these tips seem to be more helpful to google than the publisher. Referals, many ads, no filtering, etc. They usually help get more clicks but the total earnings are down and you lose your visitors to their sponsors.
She also offered me guaranteed rental on my luxury property investment whilst also advising me how I could earn $10,000 a day working part time.
I reckon she's on to some sort of AdSense scam but, hey, what do I know? The gold I bought from her close friend seemed to be a bargain however now I am having to have debt counselling...she seemed so nice.
Big Wig (BW): "How is our referral ad program coming along?"Hapless Program Manager (HPM): "Not so good, BW. Publishers have been slow to adopt them."
BW: "Well, we need to meet our goals for the program. How can we boost adoption rates?"
HPM: "We could incorporate publisher feedback into our program. We've received a lot of negative feedback about conversion rates and ad quality, so it might help if we made an effort to increase the advertiser quality, and give more and better control to publishers."
BW: (echoing a familiar refrain) "That sounds like a lot of work for us, and giving publishers greater control is against our best interests and the interests of our advertisers..."
HPM: "I know, but what else can we do?"
BW: "Isn't it about time we sent out another 'Optimization Report'?..."
HPM: "As you wish, m'lord."
"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."
Oh, it's just another Google Adsense update/maintenance/optimization tip (fill in the blank).
