Hi publishers,

Our old ASA has taken on new responsibilities, and I'm delighted to announce that I will be your new ASA.

Going forward, you can expect greater involvement from our side, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on AdSense, and representing you here at Google.

I look forward to working with you all.
ASA

Hi all,

Thanks for your warm welcome!

I agree with nomis5 that both Google and our publishers will benefit from greater Google involvement here.

In true ASA tradition, I will not disclose my gender or name here, so let the guessing game begin;)

Some more information on me? I am an AdSense specialist based in Dublin, Ireland, and I will be here to answer your questions, and bring your thoughts and feedback (and funny posts) to the Google table.

I see some users have questions unrelated to this thread. I will be sure to respond to them in new threads throughout the week.

Astute but in a brandishing way and proactive in a future intentional tense.

Here is the real test!

1) Guinness

2) Murphy's

3) Harp

4) Smithwick's

5) All of the Above

I'm 1/4 Irish, 1/4th Scot, 1/2 Polish

When I eat Kielbasa it goes to my gut, When I drink beer it goes to my leg, when I drink whiskey it goes to my other leg.

In the AdWords forum, we have a couple of items - Google AdWords Features I'd Like to See and Google Analytics Features I'd Like to See - and AWA and GAA actually take the input and send it around in a weekly report to people, and like magic - some of our wishes come true!

I'd like to see such in this forum as well, but only if people are actually going to look at it and possibly respond now and then.

(I don't mean to sound snippy, but compared to the AdWords side, users here have reason to feel like we've been slighted and ignored over the past couple years)

I am happy to start weekly threads where you can submit your feature requests. I will compile these, and submit them to the relevant teams. Your input is always welcome.

As mentioned here (http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adsense/3597893.htm#msg3598721 ), we are currently looking at how we can best provide publishers with feedback when requested features are implemented. I appreciate your patience while we work on this.

Wow, that's really great. More posts from ASA in the last couple of days than from the previous ASA in .... well, a long, long time. As Winston Churchill said "to jaw-jaw is always better than to war-war".

He also said "true genius resides in the capacity for evaluation of uncertain, hazardous, and conflicting information". Hopefully Webmasterworld will provide the information (mostly conflicting, probably uncertain and maybe even hazardous), and we trust you will be do your best to evaluate it and act on it.

Your portend to be ultra organized (that's great) and skipped the beer test.

I concur with Hobbs and chocorol, ASA you are female.

Also you use the terms happy and warm.

I got $100 on it! I am a gambler and rarely loose (but I break even a lot).

Welcome!

If it is a girl, I would say mid 20 - early 30. Nice Dublin accent, brown hair?

Wow I'm slow to post on this, but ASA I wish you a happy stay here on Webmaster World and send you a warm welcome.

(God love my new Mac! Inline spell checker system wide even in Webmaster World boxes)

Hehe, Khensu, welcome to Mac, and yes.. I use warm and happy to.. I'm most definitely a female. I'll wait for a few more posts before I guess the new ASA's gender ;)

With all the computer power that google has available, why are we assuming male or female as the only two choices. ?

One of these days ASA will be a collection of generic boxes running linux on some server farm somewhere.

We need to come up with some kind of Turing test.

Open the Pod doors Hal... HAl.. Open the pod doors now..

Welcome ASA. I would like to see some graphs in my AdSense "Reports". Perhaps a graph for each CPM, CTR, and daily earnings. For the last 30 days running.

That would be helpful for me. It would give me a quick overview of how things have been the last month. I'd like the graphs to be on the first page after login so as long as it goes up I don't even need to run other reports :-)

You may be right. At 7pm a woman is probably too busy fixing dinner, getting the kids to bed and whatever while the poor sad guy is on the computer. She will be on her computer at 3am when no one is making any demands of her.

Heh - let's wait until Sunday and ASA's reaction to the result of the England/Ireland 6 nations rugby match. 'If it's couldn't care less' we can start suspecting xx chromosomes...

Ohhhh...so men don't look after the children (if there are any) or cook?

I know nearly as many Internet fixated females as males and especially so when uttering the e-b-a-y name:-(

Welcome to the forum, ASA, and thanks for taking the decision to be proactive in answering questions. Many if not all of us will appreciate this new communication hugely.

As others have warned, it's unlikely to be an easy road, but hang in there - your contributions will be greatly valued.

My vote is for female, just because of the coy way she won't tell. I don't think a guy would care...

In any event, welcome New ASA! Thanks for being here!
