I'd like to try Amazon on some pages, on site already containing adsense ads. Is it that allowed?

In brief, yes.

Yep, been doing it for years. Had Amazon long before GAd.

It's OK as long as you don't use the Amazon feature called Omakase, in which they try to figure out which ads to use by spidering your page.

In other words, other advertising is allowed along side adsense as long as it is not contextually based ads.

Also, another Adsense Term of Service to remember is another ad service may not appear on the same site as Adsense if this other service looks like Adsense.

Amazon doesn't look like Adensse, so there's no problem there.

That's incorrect. Omikase and contextual ads are fine on the same page with adsense, at least as far as google's rules.

Google Adsense Terms and Conditions, 2. Implementation and Operation of Ads, Search Results, and Referrals, General:

If You have elected to receive content or Site-based Ads, You further agree not to display on any Serviced Page any non-Google content-targeted advertisement(s).

From amazon.com:

Omakase links uniquely combine information on each site visitor's taste, the site's content, and historical trends to dynamically generate relevant ads that Amazon serves to your site.

Before running Adsense and Amazon Omakase together on the same page, I'd be sure I had expressed permission from Google.

Adsense and Amazon Omakase are allowed on the same page as long as they have a different layout and colors according to current Google AdSense Program Policies and AdSenseAdvisor:

You can read the TOS for yourself. All I said was I wouldn't do this without asking Google first, since it still seems to be in conflict with provisions of the TOS.

LOL. How is this any different than your same question regarding Adbrite and Chitika?

Haha, Chitika and Adbrite are different products though.
And perhaps reached by different TOS.
BTW I went with Amazon at this time. Not sure but had to pick every ad to show myself... works that way seems. I expected they show dynamic ads as Adsense do.

Another thing, is it allowed to show amazon on non english pages? I couldn't find anything in spanish so by now it's limited to english pages on my sites.

BTW in Amazon you only get paid when a user buys something in amazon, instead per each click received or impressions, am I right?

Although this is not an Amazon message board... one thing I don't like about Amazon is that they charge a fee to be in their program. Even though the fee is minimal, it's the point of it that bothers me. I'm glad AdSense doesn't do that.

Amazon does not charge a fee to join its associates program. Where did you get that idea?

My account was dormant for awhile and they charged me a $10 maintenance fee. I just looked at their agreement and it says in order for that to happen, that will happen if you don't generate any sales for three years. Yikes! Time flies by so fast. I didn't realize it had been three years since I had an Amazon link on any of my sites!

And they'll only charge that fee to the extent that you have existing commissions in your account with them. You'll never have a negative balance due to inactive account fees.

I've asked Google way back when Omakase was just in beta, and the answer was not of the type to make me experiment with Omakase.
