New 250 x 300 ad format?

2 x 2 instead of 1 x 4

Just noticed a new ad format in our 250 x 300 ad unit. They're arranged like the first set below rather than the older second style.

Some kind of a test layout maybe?

I just saw it on a 336x280.

I also saw it on one of the 336 ads. I wonder if this new format will be an improvement over the old one as far as CTR?

Probably experimentation by the Googleplex. Seeing what will work better. Or just randomness thrown in to try to shake up the "ad blindness" routine.
