What if I were to buy a domain name and stick one page with some lucrative keywords and a catchy page title on it. I would then LOAD the page up with adsense ads and whatever other ads I could find.

could it be that easy?

And how would you advertise this page? I assume you'll be paying for adwords.

This is pretty common and it CAN work but it can also fail.

If you're an SEO wiz and can achieve decent organic traffic then it's a much smaller risk and bigger profit.

I'm not entirely sure it's ethical.

If Google catches you, they'll ban you from the adsense program. They might not catch you of course...

You're supposed to put content on it. All it takes is one person to fink on you and you could be banned for life. Would be sad if one day in the future you built a successful site but couldn't monetize it with AdSense. My advice is this: don't screw it up, you may be cheating yourself out of a six figure income two or three years down the road.

True, but Google doesn't like you to do your own parking, using Adsense. Maybe that sounds unfair, but that's their policy. Regular adsense is intended for content or search. They have a separate program for parked pages.

Having said that, I do know of some domains that seem to be getting away with it.

Substitute "lucrative keywords" with a Wikipedia article on some nice topic and yes, it's that easy. Unfortunately, as others have told you, the hard part isn't putting a web page on the Internet, it's getting anyone to go there.

This is a fairly dull way to earn a few cents a day. repeat 100 times, and you can earn a few bucks a day -- still not enough to keep you in headie herbs. Repeat 10,000 times and now you're talking about some real money, but believe me there are easier ways to make a living.

Stick around headieherbs - you might learn a thing or two. otherwise I feel we wont hear from you again other than to hear you're seeking advice on how to get back in.
