Adsense MediaBot bug?

trying to fetch files ending in .ht when they end in .html

Just noticed this strange behavior in my logs:

i.e. MediaBot is dropping the "ml" from the files it's trying to fetch and getting 404 errors. Of about 1250 visits in today's file, 50 or so show this behavior.

I've set up a redirect just in case. I can't see any problem on my end which might cause this.

Don't know if it's a related problem, but I see Google Webmaster Tools (not MediaBot!) reporting 404s for directories that Google itself has "turned into" .aspx

E.g., my site has directory www.example.com/foo/ and I see a 404 report for www.example.com/foo.aspx --which, indeed, does not exist...
