google adsense background color question

Is it better to make your adsense background color the same color as your site's background or will making it a different color have a better chance in increasing ctr?

Also, is it true no borders are better than borders?

I appreciate to those who answer my newbies questions.

In my experience its better to remove the boarder and match your background. Night and day difference. Good Luck

The colors and borders vary by site. Some sites see improved CTR when they make the bg color of the ad the same as the site, and some site see improvements when they remove the borders. The best way to find out what works for you is to test and make use of the channels that AS provides. You may find that what works for you is the exact opposite of what works for others. Personally, my ads are the same color as the BG and they are borderless.

From other posts on this forum, it appears that it will vary by site. But from my experience (over a year on AS), blending (no border and background same as site) with the site increased our CTR just over 50%.
