Does anyone have any comments on how "On-Site Sign-ups" have affected their earnings, good or bad?

I don't really like the way they have that set up, because there's not a clear path for the advertiser to follow that directs them to actually place ads on your website.

When your potential advertiser clicks the link, they are simply taken to a form where they can sign up for AdWords. After that, it's up to them to figure out how to target your website. Once they do figure out how to target your site, Google stacks the odds against you by showing the advertiser a long list of similar sites where they can advertise instead.

I think this would be a lot more appealing if Google would remember who sent them the AdWords advertiser, and show the advertiser a link, or send them a message that says "click here to advertise on tim222's website." That link would automatically set up a site-targeted campaign.

I'd rather put up my own "Advertise on This Site" ad where I sell the ad space.

Yeah, Google being a little more helpful to the new advertisers to help them sign up for your site would be great! I mean, isn't it the least they can do for referring another member to their system?
