The AdSense click-value for my Google ads on my site have suddenly dropped in value by 2/3 over what they've typically been for the last 2-3 years.

What could cause that?

It looks like the same group of advertisers are still advertising on my site...

The topic of a sudden earnings drop was discussed in this thread [webmasterworld.com] recently. As always, the explanation boiled down to "your guess is as good as mine."

Maybe that thread is inappropriate (it says Aug 2007)

My trouble started 31 Aug and continues to get worse ---

The AdSense click-value for my Google ads on my site have suddenly dropped in value by 2/3 over what they've typically been every month for the last 2-3 years.
It appears to be mostly the same advertisers as usual, and the same number of page impressions, more or less...

Aug 2005 - range of 0.09 to 0.13 per click
Aug 2006 - range of 0.10 to 0.15 per click
Aug 2007 - range of 0.10 to 0.15 per click (except 31 Aug)

with 2007: Aug 31 to Sep 3 being in the range 0.04 - 0.06

So, I've never seen any drop like this at all!

The past four days are Very worrying.
