I put on an google referral 2 add about 5 days ago.

I have sent over 100,000 impressions but not one single click!
NOT ONE!

It clearly does not work!

The ads show, but no clicks or revenues are recorded.

I will wait for referrals 3.0, if 100,000 impressions results in zero income then referrals 2.0 is worthless.

Wait a few weeks/months before using it. It's like with a new software version. Give it time first, it's buggy.

trinorthlighting, which products in categories are you using?

also, referrals do not work on clicks, they work on sign-up conditions... so I don't understand how you're getting money from clicks.

I made some nice money from referrals 2.0 for the first 2 weeks, after that, it drops.
I can't display the ads anymore that I want to appear on the website. Bummer.

What exactly is referral 3.0?

A pipe dream, at this point.

Yep, I picked up an extra $200 per day for 4 weeks until they FUBARed it.

It was the lowest month of the year for me so it was great help but I would like to see it sorted out.

You just can't find $200 just laying in the curb everyday, it was just depressing to loose it.

Waiting for the high sign ASA to turn it back on, someday.

You need very targeted traffic to have any success with referral ads.

Just waiting for a chance conversion by sending lot of views on random shown products will not work.

That's why Contextual ads are so popular with publishers.

Perhaps Google gives us an option to show "Contextual referral ads".

I will wait a few more months then give it another test run.

It definetly resulted in zero clicks, when it should have at least generated 1000 on 100k impressions.

It probably did generate clicks, but they were never recorded or counted, so any commission generated disapeared into googles coffers.

Ditto, thousands of impressions but not a single click. I tried picking the referrals I thought would convert for two weeks followed by two weeks of letting Google pick from any in the category. Nada.

I don't know if fewer advertisers are using it now but the types of referrals available in some categories really stinks. Theres no way to convert on a few of them because of landing page issues too.

It still needs work.
