Server Side Ad Click Redirects?

OK, this has seriously stumped me and I've researched this for over 2 days now to no end.

The site is obviously running a PPC rotating system. I traced the site back to the blog of the guy who operates it (actually, he operates a lot of sites like this). What I don't understand: if you open the frame at the bottom in a new window...look at all the ad links. They are server side links (i.e. /search.php?uid=blahalblah&id2=ksldfja&search=etcetc).

The guy who owns the site states on his blog that he sales traffic to google and yahoo. How is this possible? I ads are not branded, and they are not served by javascript. It's very clever, because i'll bet they have a much higher click through rate than an obvious ppc ad (I can tell you that when I hit that site, I thought the links were links to articles on the site...not ad links). Any ideas on how this is done/implemented? Is it possible to serve a google ad/yahoo ad without pasting javascript into the html?

I have visited, and I see what you mean. I am fascinated too. Unless I'm mistaken everything is an ad or a link to a search resulting in ads but the ads are 'unbranded'.

Anyone have any ideas - I'm stumped too.

It's possible that the ads simply look like Google's because anyone can format them using simple HTML.

The guy who owns the site states on his blog that he sales traffic to google and yahoo.

The guy who owns the site could say anything he wants, but that doesn't make it true. Personally I wouldn't trust someone who would make a site like that in the first place.

having not seen the actual instance it is a bit hard to see what is going on... but is it possible that they are using an ad delivery system and you are seeing the options that are then filtered by previous actions etc.
