Hmmm,
For the last few CPA ads, we only got paid $6.92. Anyone else having the same problem?

hehe, think I've seen your post somewhere else.

I donīt use referrals but maybe, if you use referrals 2.0, you get conversions from other advertisers, besides the conversions from google and it's products.

Referrals are all over the board man. The ones I've been getting are 60 bucks plus...

I can safely say they're not. Do you think your referrals are the same as mine?

You understand how this works, right?

This CPA stuff... actual conversions... I'm kind of liking it. 400 bucks in commissions in the last 5 days. I may convert to this completely.

My question, and I realize I should best address this to google staff... my question is... WHY HAVE I BEEN SMARTPRICED?

My traffic converts. I've always known this but they tell me it doesn't. They indicate this by the amount they pay me.

I like referrals simply because they validate my little mission statement....

Stoopid algos... pre-designed code trying to tell a man what his job is....

Or a woman... in the interests of political correctness I feel slightly compelled to say that...

No, You don't understand. The shopping cart stated amounts per signup to be around $20~30, but we were only paid $6.92 for the last few days on these signups. I know there are other people having the problem as well. [groups.google.com...]

1. I couldn't even find the program mentioned in that thread in Google's list of referral programs. It may be there somewhere.

2. What do you mean by "around" $20~30? Is there one specific bounty or is the payout variable based on what the user purchases?

wyweb,

I think this is a new feature in adsense referrals.

it is similar to smart pricing - called smart browsing. In this case google discounts the value of your visitors purchases based on their browsing history. Google attempts to predict the customer's ability to use the referral product and discounts the money you get when G thinks they are too dumb to use it effectively. If they have visited porno sites then you get a 90% reduction.

I believe G is applying for a patent on this method.
