Have we lost interest in Google Adsense?

I always observe the 'active list' with great interest. It is there that you get to see gold-dust which is quickly buried. The best things to find are posts which seem pretty inaccessible or irrelevant, but when you really read them carefully you realise they are very very profitable things to read, but of course - they get few (or no) replies so you don't get to see them much.

In the course of this I've noticed something shocking. The Google Adense sub-forum, once one of the most productive in the Active List, is now down to a rather poor showing. In the current most-recent 50 messages in the active list, just three are in this forum.

So - what has caused the great change? Was it the arb-attack by Google? Have we learnt all there is to know? Was this sub-forum secretly made supporters-only?

Bill

You <are> Funny! A true sit down comedian.

Too bad you don't hang with hip cats anymore.

We miss you buddy!

greatstart

Then I got a job, keeping people from hanging around in front of the drugstore.

Nicely done!

You're right about Bill but what he posts here barely scratches the surface. Have you ever physically hung out with Bill? That's where the fun stuff is. I think that's where pubcon comes in because there's a lot more information flowing from many directions. Is that a limitation of forums? I don't see it that way. It's an extension of it.

How about a Pubcon Europe?

Surely there's enough of us to warrant one?

Ensure it's in a nice, easy-to-get-to, economical venue (this means NOT London), not during July to mid-September nor December to February.

I've got a macaw. His name is Apollo. He loves to talk and is a great conversationalist.
I can hear it now, in true parrot voice: "My earnings are down!" "My earnings are down!" "How much do you earn?" "How much do you earn?"
You need to teach him a few more:
"I did nothing wrong but was banned from AdSense!"
"Anyone else see PIP where they live?"
"What's the best way to make money with AdSense?"

What? No "When will Google do something about MFA's?" conversation instructions for the macaw?

How will he survive in the real world?

---------------------------------------

This is where I learn about 99% of the new AdSense features. That's the main reason I check in often.

Speaking of a lack of activity on this forum, did I tell you guys about that email I received from Google announcing the house cleaning scheduled for September 1st...

I will never lose interest in getting a monthly check (hopefully forever) from one of the richest and most successful companies in the world.

I agree that the forum tends to have the same questions asked by new people. "Can I use adsense on more than one site?" is one I just can't read anymore. Also, July was very slow across the board for me with my online businesses

That suggests that it would be a good idea if the mods could do a sticky with AdSense FAQs delineating answers to the common questions. i.e. "read this before posting in this forum".

I was thinking of a sticky at the top of this forum.

Trouble is, the kind of people who post a question without doing any research don't want to read, except for reading answers to their questions. (I get a lot of e-mails from people like that: "Q. Can you tell me anything about the trams in Widgetville?" "A. Click the 'Trams' link on any page of my site and read the 'Trams in Widgetville' article.")
