But, expect it to be slow. Here in the States 4th of July is on Wednesday. So, many people are going to be getting their partying done this weekend. You can probably expect the same next weekend too.
Ok, I'm off to shoot bottlerockets at the neighbors cat!
I'm glad it gets slow sometimes. Makes it easy for me to get away...
Bleah.

Many holidays in the US are "moved" to the closest Monday for "celebration." However, July 4th is an exception - it is not moved.
I believe the "damage" to income will be split between this weekend and next weekend.
Last year my Friday was less good than this year. That is to say, yesterday's earnings were better than last year's Friday prior to the holiday.
Perhaps less people taking off early for a long holiday weekend in 2006(Friday through Tuesday 2006)? Because the fourth falls on a Wednesday, there may be less people taking a long holiday weekend this year (Friday through Wednesday is six days). The earnings drop for some people may be less this year than last year (I hope).
What do you think? Will your earnings sizzle or fizzle?
Are you experiencing a mild holiday slump or feeling the opening blows of a carnage?

Because of the way the calendar falls this year, many people & communities are doing their big 4th of July celebrations on Friday and Saturday, the 6th and 7th. Look for longer than usual weekends, and however you usually do during this time - it'll probably be stretched out a bit longer.
CTR was normal however EPC and eCPM have been abysmal for the last few days, about 20% down on last month, however, overall earnings and comparing with previous years I was expecting an overall 15% monthly reduction although the reality of the depreciating US Dollar and the year-long reduction in EPC and eCPM then my earnings are almost 50% of last year:-((
Tis a pity I cannot write such compelling and supposedly awesome content that others claim to be able to do so much better than the rest of us!

Haven't you been exposed to the received wisdom that crappy content stimulates oodles of AdSense clicks just to get away to something more refreshing and enlightening?

Try writing information that helps people make purchasing decisions. Where to buy, when to buy, what to buy, how to save money, where to find quality etc. That will ensure that the audience you attract is the kind of readership which is already in a mood to purchase. Your conversions will go up as a result and your payouts will improve.

Doh! Is a lack of sense of humour a pre-qualification here?
One thing I might add, however, is that on sales pages or pre-sales pages, it's not a good idea, IMO, to include AdSense. I want nothing to distract a motivated shopper from their burning desire to purchase.
