Dear friends,

It's Sunday! and we received an email from Google advising us we were reinstated. I can't believe it they sent it on Sunday? How is this possible?

The background of the problems we had can be found here:
[webmasterworld.com...]

The important thing is: They reinstated us!

All I can think of now is that Google is a FAIR partner!

If you are honest publisher - you can do business with Google and Google will be fair to you.

My opinion of Google has increased from 9/10 to 10/10. I am getting back to the office tommorow early with a good news and I thank Google for being fair. From now on, I will monitor our company account on a daily basis!

chocorol, and others,
do you have any idea how is it possible that we received email from Google today (Sunday)?

They don't work on Sunday? How is this possible? I am happy and at the same time I am curious. But I thank Google wholeheartedly!

They also advised me it will take 48 hours for ads to appear on site (PS: I removed all ads on March 1st).

Google is fair. Period.

Congrats! But remember, Google is not a partner. We are independent contractors, not partners.

Glad things worked out for you.

<Sarcasm>You mean the whole world is not in the North America time zone?</Sarcasm>. Seriously, Asia and Australia are about 16-18 hours ahead.

Did Google tell you the exact reason why your account was disabled? Was it really about the click fraud threat from your customer or was it something else?

Congratulations on getting your account back. :)

Congrats..

All of us are openly vulnerable to what got you banned and hopefully your case will help them in the future to not make this mistake.

Congratulations on getting your account back.

Thank you. I wish I could quote the whole email, but moderators don't allow it, so I will paraphrase.

They thanked me for clarifying situation and co-operating with them. They stated they reviewed circumstances and clicks and they have decided to reinstate account. They advised me it will take 48 hours before their servers are informed of the update and ads start running on my website. Based on the findings of their investigation, they have deducted $+++.++ from our account. This amount represents the earnings previously credited to our account from invalid clicks (so we were in fact click attacked, those were not empty threats that we received. However, as I stated on another topic, RCMP has already visited the person and I am weighing whether or not to press for charges because in Canada one can be charged for uttering threats to another individual or company). Google stated the deduction should occur in our next scheduled payment. Google also included some short guidelines to assist us in prevending invalid clicks in the future.

Congratulations James,

Google also included some short guidelines to assist us in prevending invalid clicks in the future

With the permission of the moderators, this one I think is important to every publisher here, please allow James to post in details the advice mentioned above (even without directly quoting the email, but rewording and listing links if available to additional resources)

James, if they just talked about monitoring your site statistics, and general bla bla advice and links then don't bother, but if there are useful new advice, then this is worth listing here.

Agree 100% with Hobbs.

Google also included some short guidelines to assist us in prevending invalid clicks in the future.

This could be very useful information and something that should be posted.

While I join in the general excitement, I am afraid it's only the usual blah-blah like "tell your relatives not to click on the ads".

Yeah, me too, I have received general useless links to site stats monitoring Google serps before when reporting hyper click activity on my site, never understood how this can help if someone visits one of my pages 20 times and clicks ads then the back button, only works for small sites, traffic and clicks, and even then, you need have no life or content to build to follow that. Now if they link to one of them click tracking scripts that would be a different level of endorsement and support ;-)
