Are we allowed to put "Sponsored Links" or "Advertisement" on a few lines above the Google Ads centering the text? Or does Google require us to have Sponsored Links on the top left corner of the ads only?

The AdSense Code automatically adds the Sponsored Links statements where Google want them.

The Terms and Conditions say you cannot edit the AdSense Code.

Should you ever achieve premium publisher status, then (I believe) one of the privileges granted may allow you to vary this.

If all the other categories on your site are center labeled I would think that it is acceptable. However, you might want to confirm it with AdSense support before you do it.

So how do you do this without editing the AdSense code?

Pengi, I think dailypress is refering to placing "Sponsored Links" above the AdSense code. Google does allow you to place the label "Sponsored Ads" or "Advertisements" above your ads.

Dailypress was wondering whether the label had to be on the left top or if it could be in the center.

If you're placing it yourself then there is no problem with the layout - but I believe it is placed by G within the code

Sorry, my mistake, it's the Ads by Google that is in the code.

Sponsored can surely be positioned however you like so long as it doesn't mislead.

Yes, I meant adding the text yourself above the google ads. I was not referring to changing the G. Code.
thank you guys.

that's what the TOS says (it changed in January)

Publishers participating in the AdSense program:
.....
May not place misleading labels above Google ad units - for instance, ads may be labeled "Sponsored Links" but not "Favorite Sites"
