Hi gang. Thank you for sharing your experiences on this blog. I have been a reader for sometime, and while the income I make is in the "extra spending money category", I still like to learn.

I have a question. I installed adlogger yesterday, primarily because some of the more knowledgeable members of this forum recommend it. After my first night with it on, I woke up this morning with 4 e-mail's with multiple click notifications. I printed them out and notice they are all from one IP that is overseas. I did an IP trace on Domain Dossier and it's coming from an IP registered in the country of (ZA)?

I would like Google to tell me if this looks legit - or not. In the mean time I have banned the IP from my site. Does Google look at instances like this and give you feedback, and if so, how do I report it?

Thanks for your help

yes I ate one as well LOL

Adlogger sends those emails often, I just ignore them, I dont even bother adding IP's to lists as you'll be chasing your tail too often, Google can handle this easily.

PS: this is a forum not a blog

Sorry wheelie, and you are correct. This is a well respected forum, not a blog.

I did some more digging after I made this entry and found where Google has a place to report suspected click fraud. Are you saying I should just ignore this?

Besides being an adsense member, who has read the stories of members being banned without warning and without reason given, I am also an adwords member. If this clicker is targeting a particular adword user, which adlogger shows they are, why should I not report it? I could be targeted next. As could anyone else using adwords. If his/her playing games with another site endangers my adsense account and good standing with Google, why should I not let Google make the determination?

Just a respectful disagreement and thank you for the correction and reply

no problem, I was just saying what I do, over the course of a day I see multple click alerts from adlogger and as you in the beginning was concerned sent a few mails to G got standard reply etc.

You do what you feel is best for your future as a publisher, BUT if you hadnt installed adlogger what would you be doing about it.
