I have a few different "zones" on my site that have comparable amount of traffic with different ECPM, let say four...
It is just example and has no relation to actual numbers of my site:
zone one: traffic 20% , ECPM - $10
zone two: traffic 25% , ECPM - $8
zone three: traffic 30% , ECPM - $1.5
zone four: traffic 15% , ECPM - $7.6
some rest of traffic ~10% is spread around on some another pages...
All zones have own channels and do not affect each other explicitly, but could through smart pricing algorithm...?
As you you see that zone number three has considerably lower ECPM and brings down overall site's ECPM, but anyway contributes to total earning.
What is acceptable range between higher an lower ECPM. When should YOU stop show ads on your zone three?
My questions are :
1. What is unacceptable level of ECPM which you think better to throw away instead of trying to earn small amount of money... the lower ECPM in one zone brings total amount down probably
2. What is acceptable range between upper and lower ECPM until smart pricing will start reduce income? Have you experience or some intuitive feeling where is this border can be set?
Example: highest channel One is about ~$9 and
lowest channel two is about $3.
Then ratio will be $9/$3 = 3
So, this number - 3 I will hear if you can tell it. Do not disclosure your actual numbers, just ratio.
