I am compiling a list of issues I think it would be in Googles interest to resolve for their adsense programme to work better. I thought I may as well leave it open to discussion and send them a big list instead of just mine ...

Until today I dont have nothing against adsense, this is simple, clean and work, like google. I just dont like the delay of reports, this is very long, maybe google need more processor power for this.

Reporting Delay (has gotten better lately)

Improved real time statistics. Many other ad companies have this, not sure why Google does not.

Blocking IP list so clicks will not generate revenue (for accidental clicks)

Better policing of adsense sites that are obviously in violation. All those search pages with adsense on them is garbage. Get it together Google.

Quicker payments

Direct Deposit

Higher volume account representatives (maybe over $5,000 a month). Basiclly someone to contact and get more than a general cookie cutter response.

Less PSA ads

A better look for PSA ads (why not go back to the old one that looked somewhat decent)

Direct Deposit to my bank account.
Payment in Pounds and not dollars.
Adverts i can integrate into my site that will look a bit better.

I would definately welcome some form of "Approved by Google" system. Which in turn would be offered to advertisers as an "Advertise with approved sites" option.

Anything to help delineate the good quality content sites from the rest of the directory dross out there.

Another vote for direct deposits.

And I think Roomy's idea is excellent. In fact a sliding scale of quality rankings with opt-in options for merchants would do much to encourage higher quality independent publishing (which I guess was one of the incidental objectives of AdSense) and much to dissuade the mass deployment of made-for-adsense sites that we're busy discussing in the other thread.

CJ, for instance, ranks affiliates on a scale of 1 to 5.

URL exclusions per channel (or at least site).

Reporting facilities per site.

AdSense site working properly in Opera and other non IE browsers.

Better matching between the preview tool and the actuals page.

Easier way to see/check destination url.

2. Ability to block ads by keywords in the ad title, description, or url, not just by entering the complete url.

Another vote for direct deposit - wire transfer for international accounts would be excellent, and in many cases is far cheaper than banking a USD cheque.

Or (assuming you run Adwords as well) the ability to directly credit revenue from Adsense against Adwords expenses - then wire/cheque/direct deposit the remainder.

Dream mode on:

Official support of hints, at least on search pages.

xml feed with ads so that we can integrate them better.
Actually that works already, just needs to be documented/allowed with some use guidelines :)

Web service with stats so that we can query them remotely and integrate into overall stats.

Money or relevancy based cut-off -- so that if total amount of ads about to be displayed is less then X or relevance metric is below Z -- display publisher provided substitute instead.

I would like a record of search terms performed through the WebSearch.

I used the free Atomz search before the [monetized] Google one, and the record of search terms was vital for finding new areas of content to add to the site.

I got booted from Adsense a month ago (in July) and although they had June's payment APPROVED, they didn't send me the check because June's clicks could "potentially be fraudulent". Are they sure on invalid clicks or aren't they?

I can't say how much money I made and lost from June and July, but it's a 4-digit number. For doing nothing wrong.

Hearing someone mention being wrongly accused of fraud reminds me of another search engine that did the same to us some years ago, owing us several thousand dollars.

We haven't had any problems with Google's Adsense, but then we are really only trialling it at this stage.

Just to add my 2 cents. I feel that Google now needs to compete with the other ad networks (TribalFusion, Burst, Fastclick, etc.), whether they like it or not, and that means adding some features.

- Another vote for Direct Deposit
- More honesty with what percentage of the click revenue we are receiving
- Better real time stats by graphing the stats on an hourly graph
- Graphing options
- Hints, keywords
- Site ratings, allowing the top rated sites to show multiple ad units per page
- Personal account reps for sites that do over X each month.

I am not sure it Google is reliable anymore. Same thing happened to me last friday. Google booted me off on friday of 13th last week for no reason claiming that there were invalid clicks when it was not true. Their reasoning of disabling my account was totaling illegal and unreasonable. I am extremely furious with Google adsense. They owe my over 4 digits and the reason I believe they disabled my account is that they do not want to pay or maybe because they were going IPO. I started working with Google in the middle of May and finally I got to the point that I was making good progress on google after spending lots of time, efforts and manpower to do so. Then, without warning my account got disabled and now I will not even get the money. I have written a letter to Google explaining that I didn't have any software or automatic system that generates Clicks but the letter google wrote back stated "my account will still not be restored." Like all of us, we believed in Google because of their reputation and their credibility. I now hold a negative impression of Google due to the unfair treatment toward publishers. Google only protects their google adword advertisers because those advertisers are paying google big money for the keywords and the publishers is on the receiving end. I don't think I can put my trust in google anymore. They disappointed me big time."
