Hi there bit of a noob here sorry, I am getting clicks on one of my channels, but the click does not register for the url channel the custom channel is on. I have a noarchive tag in place so the odds this is coming through cache is unlikely - I don't think I've been scraped, although I don't know how to be 100% certain.

The channel is on a page that has 2 images that are prominent in google image if you search on the subject, and I get a lot of traffic from google image - with the way google image opens your site in a frame would a click on the ad result in a custom channel click but not a url click, if this is the probable explanation then I can stop the scraper hunt. Just wondered if anyone else had experience with this and could rule my theory in or out. Thanks!

A "custom channel" hit only comes from someone clicking your adsense ad that is setup with a custom channel.

It has nothing at all to do with images.

Thanks for replying. Sorry, I guess I didn't explain it well enough. I know they are clicking on the ad unit that corresponds to the custom channel - it's just say you have an ad unit on the page www.example.com/widgets.html and so you have a url channel for example.com and you have a custom channel for widgets ad unit. now you get 10 clicks showing for widget ad unit custom channel but no clicks showing for the url channel example.com. So 2 options. 1. Your site has been scraped and they took the adsense code as well so - clicks on the custom channel but not on the url or maybe 2. People click on one of the images under google image search results and it opens example.com/widgets.html in a frame (as that's the page that contains the image) - the address showing in the address bar is a google address but with example.com at the end of it - so would a click on a custom channel ad unit from within that frame register for the url channel or not? I am just wondering if your page is accessed through a google image frame is it the same as access through cache, as I've done some searching and people mention clicks on cached pages not counting for their url... this isn't an option for me because I use the noarchive tag on widgets.html

Ok that's as clear as mud :) but if someone has has this situation come up I'd be interested if someone can confirm this either way. Thanks.
