Alternatives to AdSense for search

Are there any good alternatives to "AdSense for search" to monetize search queries from your site?

AdSense for search is pretty much a dog for me. It might just be best to serve up content surrounding the search results which promotes some good affiliate stuff, or if you have a lot of traffic, cpm ads.

Good point - one can allways place other ads "around" the search results. But the pay will naturally be lower.

I have gotten some decent results from AdSense for search. The eCPM is acually better than most pure ad campaigns.

I have a site where the search is an important aspect of the concept.

I see fron the TOS that you can place an additional ad on the search result. Does that mean that you would "frame" the search results? I have not seen this done well anywhere.
