Informative sites - low EPC

When I analyze the advertisers in my website I found two types of them :
1. sites that sell products
2. Informative sites that probably earn from banners in it. These are not MFA sites - they look good and have good content.
I don't have (usually) MFA sites because I block them regularly.

I tried to filter the informative sites in order to see if their EPC is lower.
My conclusions are that probably this assumption is correct and the ECP has been increased when I have only selling products sites. I tried to explain this by the informative sites high CTR them "helps" them get higher ranks.

My questions are :
1. Does someone also pay attention to this phenomenon?
2. Is it possible that these informative sites with low EPC are rising to high places due to their high CTR?
3. Do you think that informative sites that earn from banners pay lower EPC from product selling sites?

hard to tell, but i'd say a tentative yes to all three of those questions.

but we may have a difference of opinion on the value of those informative sites... the fact that their epc could be low is a bad sign.

and yes, they could have a higher position in your ad block because they know how to word their ad to get more clicks... ranking is more than just the epc.

Of course, if their high CTR compensates for their low EPC, then you wouldn't want to filter those ads.
