Just noticed no site targeted ads were shown on my site Jan 01 - Jan 09. I understand the reason could be "site targeted advertiser" opting out, or site targeted ads could not win competition. But I thought maybe Google was experimenting with site targeted ads?

Curious if it was just me or did anybody notice the same?

How would you know if you had site targeted ads? Is this shown anywhere in the reports?

drill down in your advanced reports, and you'll find a check box to include site-targeted ads.

Site targetted Ads seem to trickle, I didn't even get a thousand (per channel) when I was getting thousands Nov.-Dec.!

It can be higher or lower, depending on a lot of factors. In my experience, site-targeted CPM ads are great "filler ads" on pages whose topics don't attract higher-paying contextual (pay-per-click) ads, or for keywords that may be short on higher-priced click inventory at any given moment in time. Your mileage may vary.
