As before, although you'll likely lose access your account during the maintenance, your ads will continue to show and your earnings and stats will be collected as normal.

Maybe not. But it may be connected with other problems Google seems to be having as you can see in the Adwords [webmasterworld.com] thread, Adsense being wobbly [webmasterworld.com] over the last few days, a PR push that didn't quite go to plan [webmasterworld.com] and which MattCutts says was fixed yesterday (except that it wasn't, sorry Matt), Google webmaster tools going down as I reported [webmasterworld.com] 3 days ago.... etc., etc.

So, people, expect some hiccoughs over the weekend and don't go jumping off any bridges. :)
