Worried about CTR variations?

If you run AdSense on multiple sites, channels, how frequently do you monitor the channels?

For large amount of data (tens of thousands of impressions / day), the overall CTR seems to be quite constant and daily variations of +/- 10-20% are definitely not an issue. For example: 1st day CTR is 1.2%, 2nd day is 1.1%, 3rd day is 1.25%, etc.
But, if you have small sites / channels with just 100 - 500 impressions / day, CTR may vary a lot day after day. One day is only 0.5%, another day is 3-3.5%. There can be variations of up to 4-600%. Are you worried about such variations?

Are you worried about such variations?

No. I consider such seeming volatility in channels that get comparatively few impressions as quite normal.

I really don't think a publisher's individual channel statistics come into it, nor do I think small publishers need to worry about such things (as long as the clicks are "real" and not faked). I've got a very small channel that has ranged from 0 clicks to 12 clicks in a day. Do I need to worry about the seemingly infinite CTR % increase? No, because overall it's a drop in the ocean. The AS team knows that until you get into a significant sample size such fluctuations are routine.
