Oh my.. oh my.. One of my contry's BIGGEST communities for teenagers / grown ups. (kind of a "myspace"-wannabe - BUT with over 250.000 members in a year! - shows the message when you log out:

----------------------------------

YOU ARE NOW LOGGED OUT!

Thank you for visiting. Support our page by visiting one of our sponsors:

HERE IS A 336x280 adsense block.

----------------------------------

Have they done this because they don't think google bots will find this text as long as it is inside a php script - only showing if you are logging out of their page.. Because then you obviously have to have an account with them, and I don't think google register at sites to check the log-out text..

It's a private driven community by three students. It's not a "Big" company owning this site.

Should I report them
or
should I not?

Report and good luck. I've reported a site twice where the webmaster started a thread asking for clicks, with screen shots of the ads and arrows. He even posted a photo of the check as thank you (twice!). Nothing was done, even though I got a reply from a real person.

Maybe google got a check 10x the size and thought who cares.

That's what I was thinking too!

A site that big should bring in a nice big bucket of Christmas money for google too! So maybe they just don't care. Which actually makes me pretty mad!

Maybe I could do the same thing on my small site, and make 4 extra $ each week. - HAH! Like I would have kept my account with google for more than 2 minutes after that.

Well..
But I think I will report them, although I don't like being an "internet-cop" and taking other peoples earnings away.

Do you have any clue where I could send my mail to google, and what should I say? "Hey, these guys are cheating!"? ;)

How is it possible for anyone to think Google don't care? Sites get banned for this nonsense every day.

Anyway, the proper way to report sites in violation is detailed here:

Yeah, good luck with that.

October 27, I reported a site that was displaying both Google and Yahoo ads on the same pages - I just looked - both sets of ads are still there!

Of course, if I did that, I would get banned, huh?

Perhaps I will report the site to YPN today...

Or u can click the ads by google link to report violation.
I got ads removed from a blog, which was showing just ads.

I report violation, whenever i see one.

But google should be strict with the big guys too.

Well I heard back from Yahoo yesterday, and the site I reported is now minus the YPN ads.

Google never did a damn thing about it. Imagine that!

It's hard to get too excited about that particular violation, because it's not done for the benefit of the surfer or the advertiser anyway. The rule only exists because Google don't want competitors to their program on the same page.
